Alpine Skiing / Snowboarding:
Gstaad Mountain Rides offering 57 cable cars and lifts accessing the various ski and snowboard areasIn Gstaad you can choose from various ski areas offering 57 cable cars and lifts and 220 km (140 miles) of downhill ski slopes. There also are several Half-Pipes and Boarder Parks including Boarder- and Ski Cross and a permanent race track. The valley stations are easily accessible by train, bus or car. Cross Country Skiing:

There also are special trails for skiers with dogs. The trails are located in the Schoenried - Saanenmoeser region (6), in Saanen (1), Gstaad-Feutersoey-Gsteig (3), Lauenen (1), Turbach (1), Zweisimmen (4), Reusch (1) and one trail on the Diablerets Glacier (also open during summer months). Winter Hiking:

Sledding & Airboard:
sledding fun in the Gstaad - Saanenland regionIn the Gstaad - Saanenland region, sledding enthusiasts have eight very different sled runs to choose from. The choice goes from family sledding in Sparenmoos above Zweisimmen to sledding by moonlight on the Wispile mountain above Gstaad. Sled hire is available at the mountain rides and sports shops.



Airboarding is fashionable and becomes more and more popular in the Gstaad - Saanenland regionThe fashionable sport of airboarding is another alternative to skiing and snowboarding. You can either sit, kneel or lie face down on the air-filled airboard. The board is easy to control thanks and the proximity to the snow guarantees a fun ride. Airboarding is permitted on the specially set up slope near the Lätz-Güetli ski lift in Saanenmoeser as well as on the mixed slopes and toboggan runs.

Ice Skating:
Artificial Ice Skating Rink in GstaadThere are several ice skating rinks in the Gstaad - Saanenland; while the artificial ice rink guarantees ice and thus, is open during the winter months, the opening of the natural ice rinks depends on snow and weather conditions.



Gstaad Artificial Ice Rink:
the ice rink is located in the center of Gstaad, adjacent to the "Promenade". Besides classic skating it also serves as a venue for ice hockey.
Opening Hours: Monday–Sunday: 10am–5pm / Thursday: 8–9.30pm
Prices: Adults: CHF 8.50; Children under 16: CHF 6.50

Grand Hotel Park Gstaad Natural Ice Rink:
the Grand Hotel Park offers an ice-skating rink which is open to all ice skating fans.
Opening Hours: Monday–Sunday: 11am–7pm
Prices: Adults: CHF 5.00; Children under 16: CHF 4.00

Saanenmöser Natural Ice Rink:
the ice rink is located in the center of Saanenmöser, close to the railway station. Admission is free

Schönried Natural Ice Rink:

Others Winter Sports:
Curling on the covered ice rink of the Gstaad Sports Center is very popular in the Gstaad - Saanenland regioninclude Curling, which is very popular in the region and is played on the covered ice rink at the Gstaad Sports Center, Ice-Stick Shooting (in Zweisimmen), Ice-Climbing, Horseback Riding (guided hacks through the unspoilt landscape or horse-riding lessons at the Gstaad Equestrian Center), Winter Golfing and indoor sports such as swimming, tennis and badminton at the Gstaad Sports Center; for more detailed information contact the local tourist office in Gstaad.
